The Ferocious Ostriches

Another example of parallel evolution are the bizarre "ostriches" found on the Island.

Although they have bodies covered by feathers, and their structure and size are very similar to our current ostriches, they have retained more reptilian characteristics, with a long neck covered by scales, and a mouth filled with small but sharp teeth.
They live in herds and are mainly scavenger carnivores, their long neck without feathers allowing them to feed from the remains of big animals, but they also can hunt if they find the appropriate pray. They are fast, aggressive and very dangerous, when they attack you with their strong claws and sharp teeth.
